2021-2022 Environmental Scorecard for the Oregon Legislature

Looking to the future

2022 is a Critical Election Year -- Sign up!

As we look ahead to 2022, we can see that our next chapter is filled with big opportunities for change, for solutions, and for new leadership. Clean energy is the fastest-growing industry in America, and Oregon in particular is well-positioned to be on the forefront of a just transition to a clean energy economy. To get there, we have to craft the next chapter together. We have to elect leaders who share our values and commitment to climate justice.

Our next governor will be elected in 2022. Will they be a climate champion?

In 2022, we’ll add an additional congressional seat. Will our new member of congress represent our strong environmental values in Washington, D.C.?

All our state legislative districts have been redrawn, creating big power shifts in Salem. Will we elect strong, pro-climate majorities in the Oregon House and Senate?

These are the questions we need your help to answer. The next year is pivotal in Oregon’s history and in determining our climate future.

Will you join us in 2022 to elect climate champions up and down the ballot and across every region of our state?

The people-power of 2022 will determine the next elected leaders of Oregon. Your vote and your voice are needed. Please sign up to help build the people power for 2022 and elect leaders we can count on to advance solutions that center equity and justice and bring meaningful progress for our health, our economy, our climate, and our future.

About OLCV

About the Scorecard

For more than 40 years, OLCV has protected Oregon's natural legacy. An essential part of our work is holding our elected officials accountable. The OLCV Environmental Scorecard is not only one of our most important accountability tools, but also a tradition. The first scorecard was published in 1973.

By sharing how each member of the Legislature voted on the most critical conservation bills, we help Oregonians understand whether legislators listened to their constituents, or if they listened to special interest groups instead. It also serves as a summary of environmental bills and includes special recognition of the legislative champions.
